The good news is that it looks like snow squalls won't be happening this evening. In the off chance they do, they will be few and far between.
Still, temperatures are dropping this evening, and there are snow showers around. That will cause the usual slick spots on the highways as you drive home this evening. The usual winter type thing, nothing out of the ordinary.
We're still expecting another round of snow in the central and northern Green Mountains late tomorrow afternoon into Wednesday. A winter weather advisory is up for the Greens from about the Middlebury Snow Bowl north. It's also in effect along the counties bordering Canada, except right near Lake Champlain and the Connecticut River.
The weather advisory zone can expect three to six inches of snow by late tomorrow afternoon. Probably even a little more than that near the summits. Most of northern Vermont should have snowy roads and slower driving conditions from Tuesday evening through the Wednesday evening commute.
Again, nothing extraordinary for a Vermont winter, but you still want to pay attention.
We're still watching the possibility of snow and rain mixed Saturday, which would be the next weather system to come through, followed by potentially bitterly cold Arctic air.
We'll have more details when we get closer to the weekend.
